Sketch Saturday #214

It's Saturday which means another fab sketch from

Sponsored by the wonderful
who are offering our lucky winner a £10 gift voucher.

I won this absolutely gorgeous Elisabeth Bell image last year from the Belles 'n Whistles Blog which sadly is no longer running challenges and I knew I would have to wait until our Grandson's birthday to use it for the first time.  He is going to be 3 in July.  I can hardly believe it.
My digital image is called "Toot Toot" and you can find him here.
I coloured him with a combination of Promarkers and Copics, using Lime Twist "Out of the Blue" papers for my background. I found this fabulous train by Sandy Lion in my little-used "boys' embellishment drawer" (I also have embellishment drawers for "girls", "romance", "nature", "gifts", "frames" ... a girl has got to be organised don't you think?) and I knew it would be a great accompaniment for the image if only I could work out how to incorporate it in the fabulous sketch we have this week.  I saw that criss cross in the background and I instantly thought "train tracks". I had to move them further down my card in order to make them visible behind my rather long image and the train itself replaces the 6 little squares on this fabby sketch. I do hope my teamies don't mind these little changes. I still managed to incorporate the sentiment (which is by Forever Friends I think) and the second criss cross (I used black and white baker's twine) in the right place at the base of my card.
The other Saturdays have provided some wonderful inspiration.  Do go to their blogs and share some love with them and then come and play along with us this week.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Crafts and Me - 90 Birthdays; and
Anything Goes at Charisma Cardz 25, and Creative Inspirations 169.
