Each time I try to use it a bit differently.
This time I decided to use some Recollections Fashionably Chic papers and a snazzy polka dot tie. I had to sew the knot for the tie (which isn't easy for me because I'm actually allergic to needles and thread!). The placket and shirt collar are popped up for a little added dimension and I added pearls for buttons.
It's a pull out tag with a greeting on the reverse and I wanted to insert it into something else. A smart shirt and tie like this really needs a a good pair of trousers with a belt, don't you think? This is the inside of the card.
The buckle is cut with a Sizzix die and I just added an extra hand cut "prong" and some eyelets. I found my missing 25 containers with my eyelets while I was tidying up. They had been 'lost' in my Craft Croft for most of last year! I couldn't really add the trousers but I thought a nice suit jacket would work well.
And a guy always looks at his best with shiny buttons and a little handkerchief in his breast pocket.
I embossed the jacket fabric with a Cuttlebug Houndstooth folder and I think it worked really well. I didn't have a template for the jacket - it was a trial and error kind of thing but I'm very pleased with the result.
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Loves Rubber Stamps and Make My Monday - both want Dies or Punches (my buckle)
Cute Card Thursday - Beat the Blues; and
Totally Gorjuss - where the challenge is Spotty
