Best matey, Julie, and I went to Alexandra Palace last Sunday. I told myself I would not buy any image stamps or any papers and I lied!!! I would have lied to an even greater degree but I ran out of money before I had collected all of the items on my wish list. This was due to purchasing a large number of items that weren't on the list but my fun shopping spree did motivate me to make quite an elaborately decorated card and we had the added advantage of bumping in to some lovely craft buddies too. It was great to see you - Debby, Doreen and Nikki.
Having bought these Craft Works papers it would have been churlish not to use them and I also made use of a new Clarity Cloud Mask for the background to my sweet Magnolia Santa with Lantern. Santa was coloured with Copics and Promarkers. I think my lack of crafting over the summer has really damaged my colouring abilities and this was my second effort.
I went a bit overboard with my embellishments which comprise two different Memory Box pine needle dies (oops, I bought a new one and then remembered I already had a similar one at home), a Cheery Lin holly and berry die and a new grungy sentiment from LOTV in addition to ribbon and the stocking button from my stash. Santa's furry bits have been flocked - something I need a little practice with methinks but I'm pleased with my card and I'm even motivated to do a spot of the "T word" in my Craft Croft tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on. In the meantime, grab those Santa images and join in with our challenge. My fellow CASSettes have certainly provided loads of lovely inspiration - do check out their blogs...
And as I'm getting back into the swing of things, I'm going to enter my card into a couple of challenges...
