My first commission using Creative Inspirations Sketch

A friend recently asked me to make a card for a mate of his who is in hospital over Christmas following surgery for a life threatening condition.  I do hope he fully recovers.
I made my first step card having been inspired by best matey Julie who used one of Kenny K's superheros flying over a city in a card she made here.   I chose "Fist Hero" from the great selection of Kenny K images and I combined it with "Our Village" from Tiddly Inks.   I have spent the last six months on the DT at Sweet Stampin where Tiddly Inks was one of our sponsors.  They very kindly gave me and my teamies some images to use and I chose these cute little houses.
My images are coloured with Copics, the "Kapow" is word processed and everything was then cut out.  I mounted my hero and the largest selection of houses for the front on stiff card before mounting everything on some SU blue cardstock and some red from Papermill. I made my card using A3, cut to a 5.75" width and folded it so that there would be a normal opening in the back in which to write a greeting.  All my cards have paper inserts with a border coloured to match the card and this one is just visible.
I also word processed the sentiment on the back section.   Before adding the film strip (a stamp by the Artistic Stamper I think), I photographed the unfinished card and then used the images from the card itself to fill in the frames on the film strip.
Although not at first evident, I used the fab sketch over at Creative Inspirations for my design.  My film strip represents the upright panel on the left of the sketch, my hero is the offset panel in the middle and my large cluster of houses is the "stamped image" on the right. The horizontal band near the bottom of the sketch is of course my middle step. My Kapow is one of the snowflakes and my sentiment is actually on the back section not visible from the front but it's definitely this sketch. Can you see?
I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Christmas with friends and family.
