and we want you to make a "birthday card using the distressing technique". Once again we are sponsored by the lovely Heather Ellis who will provide four free digi stamps to one randomly selected entrant.
I chose this gorgeous little Pure Innocence girlie with her great big cupcake for my card which I am also entering in the challenge at Truly Scrumptious where there is a sketch and an optional extra to use "brads, buttons and bows". I rotated the sketch and instead of a central off-set paper panel I used an organza ribbon diagonally across the card. I used Mulberry paper layered with K&Co (both distressingly distressed and inked with TH Distress inks) and cut out my letters from K&Co too using my Cricut machine.
The image (I thought she looked like the letter "P") is coloured in Copics and Promarkers and I added a button to the middle of the second P, some brads to the H and of course a large organza bow. The sentiment came from a set of forgotten stickers. You can left click on the image for a better view.
Do come and join us at Sweet Stampin this week and check out the creations of my lovely team mates!

Love the colour combinations along with the image. Wish I could get into card making but the best inspiration I can achieve is making paper/carboard boxes. I leave the more complicated stuff to Faye. Thanks so much for joining my blog.
This is a super old post, but still a very cute card.
