Simon Says make something with Just Magnolia and put Roses on (the) Paper for Polly Craft

Firstly - a great big THANK YOU for being so understanding about my last post.  I was a little nervous about posting it but I see that many of you out there have also struggled from time to time with balancing blogging with other things and its good to know I am not alone!
Secondly - another thank you - this one to Lisa at Sophisticats for sending me some extra little somethings with my lovely prize for winning a recent Sophisticat challenge.  Lisa, you will see I have made good use of one of those extras here.
And now on to my card which is for a friend's birthday on Wednesday using the lovely "sketch" over at Just Magnolia and this adorable little Tilda.  I have modified the shape of the layers from the sketch because I wanted the pane in which Tilda (who is coloured with Copics and Promarkers) is standing to mimic the shape of the birdcage, and the sentiment to mimic the shape of the flowers but I think it still looks like the same sketch!

I am also entering this card into Roses on Paper.  Their challenge is for "punches"  which I have used for the sentiment, some of the flowers and the leaves.  Simon Says wanted "glimmer" and Polly Craft wanted "sparkly things" - all of my layers, the sentiment and the leaves are edged in gold Spica pen and my birdcage has been gilded. All of the flowers have been glimmer misted (something I don't do very often on account of the fact that I have a cream coloured carpet in my craftroom which doesn't encourage me to use colourfull liquid sprays!).  Tilda is wearing a pink lame blouse (stickles) and has a sparkly ribbon in her hair and has patent (glazed) shoes on.  It's a shame that so much of my glimmer and sparkle fails to show up on the photo but I assure you it is there!
Papers are Wild Asparagus by My Mind's Eye.  This page comes with the dots already embossed. The sentiment is part of one made by Kolette Hall for Studio G and the flowers that were not punched are by Prima.
Thank you for stopping by today!
