Hoping your Birthday is a Blast

 

For my card today I have used Blast from Mo's Digital Pencil. There is a girl version of this image too called Blast G. Both of these images are perfect for summer.

When I printed this little guy I added two extra water cannon cut from the original image.  I wanted it to look like there were other players all "having a blast". The images are coloured with Copics.   In addition to stencilling a sunburst in the background I inked some blue through a splatter stencil and inked over the blue with Versamark clear ink before adding the holographic embossing powder over the top.  That gave my splatters a wet look just right to mimic water bursting out - more visible in the second photo.   The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp and inside, I used a sentiment from Mo' Manning which comes with the image.

Simon Says Stamp - Out with the Old and in with the new. The stamp is newly acquired by me, the splatter stencil is older than a year but the embossing powder I have had forever and rarely use so thank you SSS for inspiring me to make use of it now!
