I haven't made a card today, I have made a Nappy (Diaper) Cake for a lovely young lady who is expecting her first baby this month. Mo Manning has recently uploaded a shower of individual babies in her Mo's Digital Pencil store. I used just four of them and coloured each one at least twice.
Meet Birthday Baby (this one comes with a candle on a cake and is blowing it out but I just used the baby), Flower Baby, Superhero Baby and Band Baby. There is also a Football Baby, a Cheer Baby and two adorable little Halloween babies. They are soooooooooo cute!
I rolled up 63 nappies and secured them with ribbons in a triple layer cake arrangement around a central tower (which was a cut down cardboard tube from some wrapping paper). The individually coloured babies have been mounted on coordinating scallop cut ovals and are adhered to the wide ribbons. A crinkly bunny baby toy was popped in the top and (although I am usually very plastic averse) I did wrap the whole "cake" in cellophane to protect it from the elements (and the large dalmatian who is also part of this growing family).

This is very different to what we usually see Lesley. It's such a clever idea and you addition of the 'babies' finishes it off beautifully.
