So today I was trying something a bit different and I realise I had only moderate success but hey, that's what being a "maker" is all about isn't it? Trying new things and experimenting? I used my gel plate for the background; brayering on the ink and adding some stencils as stamps before taking a print. Then I used additional stamps and stencils directly onto my print.
We have a new "Birthday" challenge starting this morning at Everybody Art Challenge and I decided to use Party Girl by Mo's Digital Pencil and try some no lines colouring again. I need so much more practice and I do believe this pretty lass may have looked better against my inky background had I left her as a black line drawn image and simply coloured her in. She does look very like the recipient of my card though.
Our February theme at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is "Anything Mo's" as usual and you still have plenty of time to enter. Why not pop along to Mo's Digital Pencil store and find some cuties to play along with us.
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations - #418 Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Favourite Technique. I am quite new to using a gel plate and I must say that I really enjoy it. It is fast becoming a favourite.
Stamping Sensations - Colour my World

LOVE this, and your experiment is one success in my eyes. I love the gel plate and try and use it often...great colours and use of stencils. xx
What a super feminine card and totally agree with the sentiment.
