It's Saturday and time for another great sketch at
and we are delighted to be sponsored by
our very own
Lizy
a Stampin Up demonstrator
who has designed this week's fabulous sketch and is giving away a wonderful Stampin Up prize!
I'm just getting back into the swing of things after lots of trips and I played fast and loose with our sketch this week and made two wedding cards. I was inspired by the stitching to make clothes... in heart shapes as I have seen other bloggers do from time to time. And this is my version...
I am entering my cards into the challenge for "Embossing" at Sweet Stampin. I think I'm just in time;
"Anything Goes" at Papertake Weekly;
"Any Sentiment Except Birthday" at Aud Sentiments; and
"Dies or Punches" at My Mum's Craft Shop
Now do scooch some space on your craft table and come and play along with us!

I'm just getting back into the swing of things after lots of trips and I played fast and loose with our sketch this week and made two wedding cards. I was inspired by the stitching to make clothes... in heart shapes as I have seen other bloggers do from time to time. And this is my version...
In the card above I used a Stampin Up embossing folder for my background and a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the man's shirt. The bow tie is by Die-namics and the hearts are cut with two different Memory Box dies. My sentiment is by PTI and is mounted on a Sizzix banner. This card is for my nephew whose bride has chosen silver, white and purple for her wedding colours.
My second card is for a very dear friend who is marrying his partner today. I was invited to the wedding which is in Amsterdam and I'm sure it is going to be a magnificent day but sadly I am unable to attend. I have no idea what colours the guys have chosen for their special day but their invitation was red and black and white so I opted for the same colours. This time I heat embossed the lapels of the jackets. I used Couture Creations Tied Together embossing folder for the background and a houndstooth folder for the shirts. My sentiment is LOTV and I have used another Sizzix banner. I hope Lizy doesn't mind me being so loose with her sketch but it really did inspire me!
