Back from my holidays just in time for the Christmas rush

But before I go all out on Christmas necessities, I had to say thank you to the lovely ladies who do so much to look after my kitty while I'm away.

Sweet Stampin want "Black, White + Just One colour" this week and I went for pink as the additional hue.  The ribbon and stageset are pink too so I don't know why they look so red. Simon Says Stamp want us to avoid designer paper and to "make our own background".
I used a Cover-a-Card Impression Obsession Harlequin stamp for the background and IO also made the Greenery stamp I used for kitty's umbrella.
My pink flourishes are a stamp by Inkadinkado and are embossed with some lovely pink WOW powder and I used a U Mount script stamp together with some PTI banner dies.   The jumping cat who looks like mine and the umbrella are Memory Box dies.   All through the making of these I was singing an old song by Bread "you sheltered me from harm, kept me warm, kept me war..or..or..mmm".

One of my cat carers keeps chickens and I bought this book for her.  It is a superbly illustrated version of Cinderella by Jan Brett where the characters are chickens - Cinders and her mean step sisters Pecky and Bossy.  If you get a chance to look it up - do so. It's a stunner!

I am also entering my card into the Anything Goes/Free and Easy challenges at Papertake Weekly, Loves Rubber Stamps and Stamping Sensations.
I have a lot to catch up with after my holiday but I will be back soon to share some photos and I promise I will be back blogging and visiting in the not too distant future.  In the meantime, I will leave you with a photo of this bed I bought  my cat for Christmas and packed in my suitcase to bring home from sunny Florida!
