I absolutely loved our sketch this week although it taxed me trying not to obscure the little bird cages on the background DP which is Prima "Almanac". I adore this image which is by A Day for Daisies but it taxed me too. I'm not great with hair at the best of times and boy did I struggle not only with the actual colouring but also with working out what might be hair and what might be background. This was my third attempt but I'm relatively happy with the end result. I botched a bit at the front because the hair goes in all directions and I couldn't make my coloured 'strands' comply. I used Copics and Prisma pencils on her hair in the end. She is such a delightfully pretty image don't you think?

Cupcake Craft "yellow and grey" I realise my yellow is very mustardy but it is still yellow in my book!

Oh Lesley this is GORGEOUS!!!!!! I LOVE the colors and think you did a knock out job on the coloring!!! I really like the artsy image, she is so pretty! Your embellishments are the perfect compliment to this card also. I was absolutely thrilled to receive it and have it sitting out so that I can see it everyday!!

Well I have tried to find where you "botched" her hair. Nope I can't find it. Honey, this is stunning. Look at that face - Perfection. The whole card is wonderful. Dena is one lucky gal to have received it.
