Sketch Saturday #242

It's Saturday which means another fab sketch from
Sponsored by the wonderful

I made a card for today using Mo Manning's wonderful Fairy 2.  I love Mo's fairies with their fuller figures!  I tried to give this one a darker skin tone for our friend from Brazil with only limited success.  I know I have seen some info on colouring ethnic skin but I couldn't find them when I needed them.  If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful!
I used Promarkers and Copics and a fair amount of sparkle.  My paper is Prima "Botanical".  The sentiment is Penny Black and the stars behind my buttons are cut with my Cricut.   I moved my light box to the floor.  Photos are not so easy to take down there in a corner between a bench and a chair but this is quite true to the natural colours of the card except for the fact that some of the grey on her dress is in fact sparkle.  IRL these show up as high lights and not low lights.  I followed the sketch really closely  which is unusual for me and now it's your turn.  Stop by my teamies to see their wonderful work and then come and play along with us.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Loves Rubber Stamps Cute as a Button
Kaboodle Doodles Buttons; and
Bunny Zoe Anything Goes

Mo's Fairies always make me smile. Your take on her is lovely. She is dressed up and ready to work her magic for sure.

Suzanne Dean over at http://scrapbitz.blogspot.com/ has some tutorials that may help. She gives 2 combinations of Copics: E11, E13, E21,E25 and E11 E25 E27, E29. The second combo is the darkest of the two.

Have a great day Lesley and stay warm.
