Okay - So I tried my hand at some
Simply Less Is More challenges and I'm just about getting used to all that white space if I concentrate really, really hard and furrow my brow and possibly stick my tongue out of the corner of my mouth just a little. But this week they want to see "Fur or Feathers" using just "
One Layer". They're having a laugh! White space came sooooo hard to me but whereas I really like the DT cards and I have already spotted some wonderful entries this week - I have never NOT binned an attempt of mine to make a one layer card because my versions always look meager, pathetic, PALTRY!
And that's where I got my idea...
I coloured some organza ribbon with Copics to coordinate with the Distress ink background and hand embossed a little frame around my image. The sentiment is word processed. My card uses a Stampin Up image (in Memento inks) and is also suitable for challenges at:
But I really enjoyed last week's LIM challenge for blue and green and because I enjoyed it so much...I made more cards of the same design in different colours...
Christmas is coming...

Great rooster card. Fits the bill perfectly. Don't know what your preying about! Love those baubles on the next set. Will refrain from using the c word. X marks the spot instead! Hugs mrs .A.

Hi Lesly, wow your card looks just perfect. Great colour combination and your Christmas cards are wonderful.
Thank you very much also for your visit and your lovely comments on my blog.

It's cute that you just had to add the ribbon, Lesley! I struggle with that, too, but it does get easier to just let the image be enough, and your image is beautiful!
I'm so glad I popped in and spied those extraordinary Christmas cards!! OMG, pinned! I don't make many, since we do a family photo card, but these are so striking I may have to CASE for dear friends! Thank you!!
Looks like you're a total convert to CAS!
This is fab... I have this cockerel stamp too and I love it!
Thanks so much

Is it fair to assume I will be receiving the yellow version? Still not convinced it's time for me to start making Christmas cards yet. Go on, wrap my knuckles again! Anyhoo, your little chicken number is lovely. Fab colours for him. xx
