Sketch Saturday #218

It's Saturday which means another fab sketch from
Sponsored by the wonderful

I love admiring all of the wonderful work on other people's blogs. It's great to "meet" new crafting buddies and I would like to
welcome
my new followers!
It's great to see you!
One of my favourite blogs to visit is Debby at a Scrapjourney.  She always makes absolute stunners; beautifully coloured and nearly always fussy cut and 'popped' up to give the most amazing dimension.  Recently she made a wonderful CAS card with just a paper pieced and 'popped' chair as the focal point.  You can see it here.  And it was her card that inspired me to make this one today.   I used a Hero Arts chair from a set of stamps, layered and popped up with silicone glue, and pearlised card embossed with a Cuttlebug chandelier for my background.   The scalloped punch is one of my favourites by Martha Stewart and I think the sentiment is Papertrey Ink.   I added a little strip of K&Co paper to the horizontal and a 'cushion' made from a tiny scrap of Papermania paper.  My friends always laugh at me for keeping such tiny pieces but I quite often find uses for them!   I wasn't going to add a cushion but I tore my chair 'upholstery' with my embossing tool when I was burnishing the reverse and my cushion covered it up perfectly.  I finished my chair with pearls.  Most of them are flat backs from a packet but the ones near the back of the seat are Liquid Pearls that I made on a sheet of acetate, coloured with my Copics to match the flat backs and then glued on my chair.  I needed them to be smaller than my flat backs to give the proper perspective.  I coloured my chair with Copics to provide a bit of shading and the nail heads around the edge are done with a gold pen.
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
"Anything Goes" at Simon Says and Crafts and Me #94
Charisma Cardz # 29 "Monochrome"; and
Loves Rubber Stamps #10 "Paper Piecing"

The rest of the Saturday Girls have made some wonderful cards for your inspiration and I know they would be delighted to see you share some love with them and come and play along this week.
