I used one of my many A Day for Daisies images - none of which have ever been coloured. (Hangs head in shame - AGAIN!). This one is called "Tall Tower" and you can find her here.
A Day for Daisies is showcasing Tammy's Fairytales and Nursery Rhymes this week on the blog and I thought this image would be perfect for that theme. Their challenge, however, is this photo inspiration "Pinwheels are fun" and I chose the turquoise, pinks and yellow for the colours for my card.
I coloured my image with Copics. For my box I actually removed the Rapunzel-styled girl with photoshop and left just the window and vine uncoloured. I don't know if you can see my text - it reads "On this - your special birthday, [it was my friend's 50th but I was not allowed to mention the age!] relax and..."
I used some new K&Co papers with little aqua Morning Glory type flowers for the main DP. There is Papermania lace vellum on the side panels with two Memory Box flourishes so I can enter my card into "Double Delight" challenge #22 at Paperplay. A Cheery Lyn brown swirl die cut with some Recollections punched flowers with stickled centres tries to mimic the vine around the window. My flowers are Recollections and Prima with leaves cut from the Cheery Lyn swirl and the sentiment is Kenny K (I think), mounted on a Stampin Up stamped label and punched with two SU punches. I added a Making Memories metal Best Friend embellishment with a little added ribbon so I can enter the "add a ribbon" challenge at Crafts and Me and some Craftworks candy. There is some stickled sparkle on the flowers on my vine too. My favourite bit, aside of course from the image itself, is my tassle which I coloured with Copics and is supposed to look like the end of this princess' hair.
In addition, I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Simon Says - Anything Goes
