Kenny K Spring Zing

One of my oldest friends (although not quite as old as me) will be 50 this weekend and I bought this fabulous Kenny K image called Movie Star from the Glam Gang because it looks very much like her.  You can find it here.  Their challenge this week is "Spring Zing" and from the DT examples it appears that they want bright zingy colours.  When I think of spring, I think of new green grass and freshly turned earth so I chose bright greens and brown as my colour scheme using Up, Up and Away First Edition papers.  I think this gal has a pretty zingy attitude - don't you?
I cut the 50 with my Cricut and added some Craftworks candy and flowers from stash, a Marianne leaf swirl and a Nestie cut sentiment by Penny Black.
My "Movie Star" is coloured with Copics and the fur on her collar and cuff is liquid applique.  I glazed her lips for a glossy feel.
I am entering my card into

I was asked for my template for my apron card in my last post but I'm afraid I don't have one.  I just cut a large rectangle out of a piece of A4 card measuring 24cm by 16.5 cm (about 9.5in x 6.5in) and folded it in half for the card base.  I used a large oval Nestie die as a template to cut the under arm curves from the pre-folded card.  The bottom of the curve begins about 7cms (3ins) down from the top of the card.  The oval Nestie gives a curve at the top of the apron and I just squared if off afterwards. The DP is just a slightly smaller version of the finished card measuring approximately 16cm x 11.5cm (just under 6.5ins x 4.5).
