Butterfly Caller

One of the very first digi stamp sets I bought are of beautiful ladies/fairies with butterflies.  They have never been used.  Shame on me!     I think this one is called Butterfly Caller and I'm convinced she is a Sketching Stamper image drawn by Chris Dark but I don't know if it is still available having failed to find her on line.
I am trying to improve my watercolouring.  It sure needs the practice and I coloured this beauty in a mix of distress inks and Letraset Aquamarkers.
Sadly I cut off a lot of the butterflies from the original image.  I wanted to use my oval nesties as I intended to follow the sketch at Crafty Emma's.  In the end I got a bit carried away and the sketch is no longer really visible.  I added some additional butterflies from my vast selection of unused stash to meet Crafty Emma's requirement of "Give me Wings".  Some of these are precut stickers and some were border stickers from which I punched the butterflies.
The papers are brand new Londonderry  by Prima.  Aren't they gorgeous.  Although I do wish they would make them a little bit smaller because they just don't fit any of my card blanks and it takes me ages shaving off the very edge of each side of the page in an attempt not to lose too much of the border detail and to keep the central square still centred.   I've matted using DCWV and added an SU sentiment punched with SU punches.
The challenges I am entering are:
CES - "Give me Wings" (and an optional sketch with which I started but got kind of carried away!)
Charisma Cardz - "Things with Wings"
Crafts and Me "Use a New Image "(which doesn't have to be newly owned just firt time used)
Papertake Weekly "Anything goes"

That is a gorgeous image and your watercolouring has really brought it to life. I would never even attempt an intricate image like this! Super paper choices too. xxx

WOW.....sweetie this is just gorgeous, your painting is looking fantastic hun & makes this image even more beautiful. Love the colours & the pad but I agree about these pads they should make a smidge smaller so we dont have to lose borders considering card blanks are not true 6x6.
Thank you so much for using my sketch sweetie it means a lot & I love this!!

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
