Thank you...

Hi Peeps.  Hubby and I arrived home yesterday after spending just over three weeks in Florida.  We had a fabulous time.  The beach was superb, we were in the sea with 4 manatee 50 feet away at one point.  The pool was glorious.  The sunshine endless and the craft shopping supreme!  The only downer was that we arrived at the airport lounge 10 minutes after Scotty, Lauren and Haley had left it.  As big American Idol fans we were disappointed to have only just missed them.
While I was away, a dear friend looked after our fish (Alabama and Vegas) and my best buddy (pictured here).
I made a card to say thank you.  It's not one of my best which is a shame because I love this house mouse image which I have coloured with Copics.  The problem is that it's very small and looked a bit insignificant in the centre so I added a giant blossom which is now too big.  We had a bumpy flight home from Florida and I hate flying so I didn't sleep except for about 20 mins and I'm very jet-lagged and tired today.  Hopefully I'll be back on track by the weekend.

The background paper is K&Co, the checked paper is from my scrap drawer and the butterfly paper I stamped myself with a new Impression Obsession purchase.  The flowers are Prima, the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and the leaves are a Sizzix die.  I am entering the card into several challenges as follows:
Flutter by Wednesday - "open"
Stamp Something - "sentimental"
Papertake Weekly - "sketch" (which I rotated and overlapped the layers slightly differently)
My Mum's Craft Shop - "something with wings"
A spoon Full of Sugar - "flower power"; and
Paperplay - "blossoms and blooms"

What with the holiday and all of the Blogger problems in the last few weeks, I have really struggled to keep up with my comments but I hope to be around for a visit soon.

I also need to say a big thank you for a Candy package which arrived from perhaps South Carolina (is that SC?) while I was away.  Sadly, the candy did not come with any note and for the life of me I can't remember what it was I entered.  I'm sooooo sorry that I can't thank the sender more personally but I am very grateful!  If you sent me some lovely papers and ribbons and sparkley things - please let me know so that I can show my appreciation directly!
