Copics Creations' One Stop Papertake weekly Cardvaarks' Paperplay with Prairie Fairie for Colour Create and Cute Card Thursday!

Okay - so I've gone a bit mad entering eight challenges for this card but what's a girl to do when she makes a card that just happens to meet the requirements of so many.   I stopped short of entering into an animal challenge even though, in my mind, teddy bears are animals too!
The card started out with Colour Create who have a fab colour combo this week of "hot pink, warm orange and saffron" and I made a "birthday card" which was the only requirement for Cardvaarks
I wanted to use my Copics to colour the teddies so I checked out Copics Creations where they have a theme of "summer reading" and a whole raft of fabulous images to choose from by the very talented Elizabeth O Dulemba.
So I just had to make a book mark to go with the card and used two of Elizabeth's lovely images; a mouse for the front and a bear for the back.  I coloured these with Copics, added some punched flowers, laminated the bookmark and added a tassel.

I wrote a litte ditty about forgetting work, snuggling down with some teddies (the recipient of this card has quite a number of teddies) and relaxing with a coffee and a book. The use of "text" met the challenge at Cute Card Thursday.  In order to incorporate the bookmark on the face of the card, I needed to pick a "sketch" with a tall design paper panel and Papertake Weekly came up trumps!  One Stop Card Challenge wanted to see "patterns" and I used pink patterned paper from Basic Grey Green at Heart, little saffron flowers on white from Stampin Up and a bold pattern of yellows, saffron and orange from Wild Rose Studios.   In order to insert my bookmark I had to "3d" the paper panel which met the challenge at Prairie Fairie and I also decoupaged and glazed the balloons which are digital images from Black Leaf.  Finally Paperplay had an "anything goes" theme and it seemed churlish not to enter!

I added Prima flowers and a pearl-brad, a gem string on the bottom right and finished with a little teddy charm.  I used my own teddies as models for the picture on the front of the card.  I had to take their clothes off first and then position them individually to draw them how I wanted them.  Hubby thought I'd gone mad and if I had checked out Copics Creations first then I could have found lovely teds and simply printed them out!

Hi Lesley

So much to love about your creation. So have you drawn the bears yourself? If so you have one great talent.

I love the message on the balloons and your bookmark is wonderful.

So much loveliness in one project!

Love Jules xx
