Polka Doodles Papertake Weekly Creative Inspirations

Had a fabulous day today with an impromptu visit from best matey Julie for a leisurely afternoon's crafting and I actually managed to make a whole card from beginning to end.  Normally when Julie comes I spend most of the time stamping up her images for my stock but frankly I now have sooooo many stamped images ready for colouring that I could indulge myself with some actual crafting and I made a card for my brother's forthcoming birthday.
I used this week's fab "sketch" over at Papertake Weekly and have combined it with Polka Doodles' requirement for a card for a "boy's birthday" and Creative Inspirations' colour combo of ONLY "Gold, Turquoise and Cream".
Now I have to confess that there is a teeny tiny bit of red on my card but I also notice that some of the DT at Creative Inspirations have used green leaves so I hope I will be allowed to get away with it.   I bought the ribbon (which is gold turquoise and red) specifically because it looked so good for a tie and made a card using my Creative Expressions stamp on turquoise K&Co paper for the shirt.  The pocket and collar have been decoupaged.  There is a small paper pieced panel on the inside of the shirt collar and a little "hankerchief" in the pocket which matches the tie.
The shirt is layered on DCWV gold shimmer card and gold-toned 7 Gypsies paper and the card is embellished with cream and turquoise buttons punched using my Woodware punch.   The sentiment is SU and I added cufflinks (Julie's idea) which I made from two gem brads linked together with chain.
