Mo's Dream Team

As any of my fellow Human Resources specialists out there will say - when setting targets they need to be objective, measurable and achievable. Mo's Dream Team is looking for new teamies and want us to use our "favourite Mo Manning image". Excuse me? How is this possibly achievable?
Nuff said!
I could wax lyrical on how I love them all - and I do!  However, to describe how stunningly imaginative Mo's images are or to effuse over her fine detail or how her drawings somehow have personalities would curry no favour with the decision makers so all that is left for me to do is to pick one (just one!) image and do my "most ut" to make it shine out amongst the stunning competition who would just love (as I would) to join that team...
I have used "Late" - the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.  He is coloured with Copics and Promarkers and my papers are all K&Co.
One of the many things I love about Mo's images is that they encourage me to be more creative than I might ordinarily be.   I am not the best colourist and I don't put magnificent bouquets of flowers on my cards like some of my much admired blogging buddies do but I do like to try to really work with the image.
I created a "clock" face with word processed circular text and two hands (just visible) pointing towards the 11.00 o'clock position on which to place my rabbit and then I stamped and cut out a number of images which I thought would suit the theme of "time" and "Alice in Wonderland"; a little bottle to drink to make Alice smaller and keys (one of which is wet embossed) to open doors to other worlds.  I inked all of the time pieces and glazed them all except the main one with the rabbit.  Two overlapping ribbons and a bow to add further texture and depth and a little key with the bottle on a string add the finishing touches.

Is it a winner? Perhaps not but I sooooooo enjoyed making it! Is it close to being in with a chance? I do hope so - and just in case the team would like to see them, I have added a couple of links to some of my favourite earlier Mo-makes here.  Darn It, Fairy Puddle Jumper and Looking for Clues.

Hi Lesley

I have everything crossed for you - including my eyes and that is making for very difficult cardmaking!! LOL!!

Your card is absolutely amazing and if that doesn't get you onto the DT then I will be very, very surprised!! You have clearly but a lot of thought and effort into your application and there are so many gorgeous elements to your creation. I wouldn't know how to start on that clock-face.

Your work is gorgeous and they would be lucky to have you on the DT.

Hi Lesley,
Are you still up at this time too?! Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. Jack is the best, hands down in my opinion. His second front tooth just fell out tonight & he's a bit down about it, so I'll show him your comment tommorrow & I'm sure he'll be thrilled. As for this fantastic entry for the Dream Team, it looks fabulous. Don't sell yourself short. Your colouring IS fantastic & I love how you use your imagination in your cardmaking, which makes your creations a cut above the rest. It's not my call, but I think you're a winner!!
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
