My new Craft Space

Until the summer, I was crafting in my spare bedroom.  It was a good sized space but with my ever-increasing stash, it was becoming a little on the tight side.  Fabulous hubby then said I could convert the attic room.  Three months later, walls taken down and furniture installed it looks like this:

The desk at the back of the room on the right is my old desk from downstairs and is the perfect space for my electronic equipment; computer, printer and cricut machine.  The stairs come up on the left of the picture where we replaced the bannisters with bookcases.  The photo is taken from the other side of my other desk!

This picture is taken from the computer desk looking the other way at my main craft desk.  It has two chairs so that Julie can come to play!  Isn't it beautiful?  and isn't my hubby fabulous for allowing me to have this!!!

On my desk, you can see my enormous lazy susan.  My cabinet maker cut holes in the top for me so that all my pots would have their own homes and don't wobble.

The chair-side of the desk has the perfect drawers for my blending pencils, baby inks and promarkers.

Beneath the drawers on both sides are TWO pullouts for the remainder of my inks. All the shelves are removable so I can store other things too!

I even have storage on the other side of the desk with room to spare for more stash. It's just as well as I put in an order yesterday from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie and my latest stash arrived this morning from Joanne at Mainly Flowers.

The main storage behind my desk has drawers that go into the eaves and are double the depth of the unit.  Perfect for my wooden stamps, punches and papers.   I can hide my multi-coloured drawer units inside the cupboard where they do not detract from the overall colour scheme.

Finally, if I tire of crafting (as if) there is a lovely reclining chair and storage for all of my magazines just to the other side of the bookcase where I can sit and relax.

The room, as you can see, is burgundy and cream but I defy anyone not to be green with envy at my lovely craft space!!!
