Upcycling for Speed

Actually I guess it isn't really upcycling if I actually bought the item specifically with the intention of making something else.  In the January sales, I bought a box of small Christmas cards that I thought were really pretty and they were really cheap!  I thought I could make slightly more elaborate Christmas cards out of them that would not require colouring and could be made quite quickly.  So far I have only managed to make one!!! But armed with some K&Co turquoise for mounting and a combination of Nestie dies, an MS punch and an SU punch with a tiny PTI sentiment I produced this.
And I'm entering it into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly "Snow White"
Simon Says "Snowflakes"
Raise the Bar "Blues and Whites"
Sweet Stampin "Dies and Punches"
Totally Gorjuss "Oh no! Snow!"

Now there is a good reason that I have only made one of these so far and that is because The Hubster decided it would be a great idea to spend the last 5 days in Prague.  We had a lovely time but Number 1 daughter and Number 1 grandson arrive from Crete on Thursday and now I have a mountain of laundry, a largely undecorated house and rather a lot of non-crafting to get done before they get here including a trip to the ballet!
Here are a few night time pictures of our visit.

This is Hradcany Castle.
The famous Clock tower in Old Town Square and my favourite Tyn Church in the centre background
St Nicholas Church, Old Town Square, and (below) the Christmas Tree in the middle of the Square

There goes the Christmas cards. Drink plenty of caffeine, crank up the Christmas music and let the holiday rush begin! Gorgeous pictures of Prague. So glad you listened to Hubby and went. Much better than repurposing Christmas cards. (Although the card is really lovely)
