This contest is separate to the normal challenge at Polka Doodles which is still going ahead this week but in order to win the Aquamarkers, Polka Doodles and Letraset are looking for us to show our watercolouring technique using any medium that gives a water-colour type effect. I made the attached card for my FIL and it was my first attempt (since I was about 12) using an actual water colour paint set. Fortunately, Polka Doodles and Letraset are not necessarily looking for an expert watercolourist just for someone who shows potential. As this was my first attempt to paint with a brush and solid paint colour, I was quite pleased with it and I'm sure that if I was lucky enough to win the Aquamarkers, I could do better with practice!
I have to get back to work now but I sooooooo want those Aquamarkers that I just had to enter this contest.
