Sketch Saturday #413

It's Saturday and time for another great sketch at
and we are delighted to be sponsored by the cuties at
The Paper Shelter

A dear sweet woman I know happens to have a penchant for all things piggy and when I saw a card in a store with this image by Patience Brewster I felt I had to get it for her even though I NEVER buy store-bought cards these days.  So this card has been upcycled from a brand new card - I simply cut the front panel off and trimmed it down.  I couldn't improve on the image but I enjoyed using these pretty papers, flowers and die-cut leaves and words to spruce it up.

There is a ton of wonderful  inspiration from my teamies on the Sketch Saturday blog and our friends at The Paper Shelter are offering a fabulous prize so why not scooch some space on your craft table and come and play along.

I am cheekily entering my card into the challenge for "birdhouse" at Curtain Call.   They have this inspiration photo
I realise they probably meant the wooden kind of bird house but technically a nest IS a bird house...
And I'm also entering the challenges at The Ribbon Girl (where I was a winner last week - Yippee - thank you Mary and Andrea and Maja Design) for "Any Image on Any Project" and at Bunny Zoe's Crafts for "Lovely Layers"

  2. You've nailed the inspiration photo perfectly. Love the image and the embellishments you've added to it. I bet the original card didn't look anywhere as nice and that your friend liked her personalised card to bits. Hugs Mrs A.
