Cute Card Thursday's Sweet Stampin Something

Not that long ago, someone (and it might have been Julie) asked me what I thought the point was of the teeniest tiny die cut in the set of square nestabilities.  This die cut is soooooo small - its about 0.5cm squared (for all you non-metrics out there that's less than 0.2 of an inch) and at the time I couldn't begin to think of what one could possibly use if for.  But now I know!   It's so that one can make a little paper quilt by die-cutting teeny tiny little squares and quilting them together for a card like this.  Not that anyone would want to do this on a daily or even a monthly basis because it is way too fiddly but one of my most bestest cousins is a seamstress amongst her many other talents and last year she finished the most stunning quilt I have ever seen.
This delightful hAnglar stamp, coloured with Copics and Promarkers, is actually a little girl holding a gift tag.  I have used her before here.  I made a quilt just larger than the original tag to cover it  and then decoupaged her hands over the top.  The quilt squares and all papers are Papermania. The sentiment which reads "Great Friends, like old quilts, stand the test of time" is word processed and cut with my Stampin Up punches, and the little cotton reel button is Dressing Up.   The fab sketch is this week's Sweet Stampin challenge - a great challenge spot to gain inspiration for all your stash including , of course, stash from Stampin Up!  Cute Card Thursday required ribbon and Stamp Something requires designer papers, buttons and ribbon so I am entering all three!  You can click on the photo to enlarge if you like.
