Sponsored by the wonderful
Last week I was taken by surprise at around midnight on Friday when I realised that it WAS midnight on Friday and I had a card due at 8.00am the following morning. Last Saturday's card was therefore something of a mad rush to say the least and looks it too!!! This week I didn't let Saturday creep up on my crafting. I was ready and as a result it did not take me by surprise and I had more time to be creative with Jen's challenging sketch below. Jen is not only the queen of our sketches at Sketch Saturday but she is something of a princess of understated design. I am generally pants at less is more/CAS styled cards (hence last Saturday's disaster) but I tried really hard this week to get the balance right with my card using Jen's sketch and do you know - I'm actually very happy with the result. It's a shame about the photo though - I have yet to master the hubster's camera and my image is too bright!!! IRL the yellow is much more muted.
My papers are new ones from Teresa Collins "World Traveller" and "Fabrications", the sentiment is PTI, the die cut paper corner ribbon is Joy craft I think and I used a Recollections ribbon flower. Come and play along with us - we'd love to see you!
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
