Thank You!

It's my birthday today and The Hubster took me to dinner at my most favourite restaurant in the whole wide world which just happens to be 15 minutes from our home.  It's called Drakes.  The owner and Michelin Starred chef, Steve Drake, is an absolute master craftsman in the art of food.  We started with cheese on toast.
(Sorry about the photography taken on my phone).  This was the most wonderful thin, crispy, tasty toast topped with smoked cheese, hollandaise sauce, fish roe and rocket (Arugula) and it was delicious.  It was the pre- pre-starter.  We then had an eel custard (the pre-starter) followed by little somethings (I don't know what they were but they were heavenly), then salmon (the starter), followed by  foie gras (which actually made me weep it was so good!), then brill, then beef, then butternut squash and passion fruit cream (the pre-dessert), then roasted pineapple with douglas fir (the dessert) and finally petit four (pictured above).   Each course was accompanied by wine specifically chosen by the Sommelier and I think I might have gone to heaven sometime during the evening!!!  I am stuffed fit to burst though.

I had some lovely gifts too - not least from lovely blog buddies!  Thank you, thank you!!!

And I spent the day making this card inspired by the lovely Debby4000 from her cards here.  Thank you, Debby!!!
This is actually a thank you card for the dinner we DIDN'T have last Saturday (due to the snow) but which has been rescheduled so I will still need it.
When I make my cards I have to cut little strips off of my 6x6 papers in order for them to fit inside a mount within a 6x6 base.  I tend to keep the little off cuts and that is what I have used for my banners.  I can't tell you what the papers are I'm afraid but the flower is a stamp and punch by Stampin Up which was new for Christmas and it is backed with a Marianne die. The green banner is mounted on another SU punch and the plate and cutlery are by Doodle Pantry which you can find here.   I finished with a little Stamps Away Thank You on a SU punched tag.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz Punch it (twice - my flower and my lacey trim (and actually the banner ends are cut with a square punch - a brilliant idea from Debby!)
My Mum's Craft Shop - Anything goes
One Stop Craft - Thank you's; and
Marianne's Design - Banners and bunting

Now me and my over-stuffed tummy are heading to bed!!!

Of course I homed in on the petite four picture straightaway and pretty much ignored the rest! Your card also is rich, and elegant. Very nice too. X
