Sketch Saturday #240 EDITED

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's Saturday which means another fab sketch from
Where we are lucky enough to be sponsored by...
Our wonderful sketch today was designed by our very own Sarah Louise.

I have spent the last 3 days trying to tidy up my Craft Room and have actually ended up with more visible mess than when I started!   Some of the organisation is now better organised.  I have taken drawer systems apart and spread things around a bit, moved shelves to accommodate the different systems, sorted all of my buttons and gems and pearls but I still have a lot of clearing up to do.  It seemed like every single item I removed from my desk (or the floor) to put away made me decide to reorganise the place it should go and instead of making the room look better, I have made it look worse.  Add to that the dismantling of Christmas in general and I'm in a sorry ol' mess.

I got a light box for Christmas.  I wanted to put it on the corner bench under the eves.  Unfortunately, the corner bench under the eves is where I had been dumping things throughout 2012 instead of putting them away so I had to clear up the bench in order to make room for the light box.  Given that it is now 1.00am on the day of our challenge and I have only just finished my card, I was too tired to actually set up the light box and the place where I normally take my photos is now covered in some of the things I removed from the bench.  You get the picture, I'm sure.   Anyway, my First photo was pants!  Sorry!

But I've edited my post to add a few more in better light.
This one shows the easel element

And this one is of the Magnolia pull out tag I got for Christmas inside the base pocket
I used a wonderful image from A Day for Daisies called Braid in my Hair.  Sadly, I had to lose some of the birdies because they were too fiddly to cut out.  I sparkled her dress with a new set of Spica pens (also a Christmas present).  She is teamed with Lost and Found papers, a gem slider and some tear drop gems.  The sentiments are part of the DP and my corner is by Marianne.    Aside from the corner and the Copics I used for colouring, everything on my card is New, New, New!

Come and play along with us, won't you!  And do share some love with my fabby teamies!  They have made wonderful cards for your inspiration on our blog.

I am entering my card in to the following challenges:

Fantastico!!! Love what you have done with the braiding on the image. Know what you mean about the clear up. I have gone through a pile of craft magazines and chucked what I don't want to keep and thats about it so far. Need a total reorganization but don't really know where to start. Oh well who needs sleep anyway! Hugs Mrs A.

This is really a stunning card! Got a question- did you cut out the image and then lay it on the oval die? I guess what I am asking is how did you get her sleeve and brad to hang outside the die?

Fantastic card Lesley!
The cleaning bug is obviously catching - the drawers where I store my off-cut card had a good spring clean yesterday - it's something I have been meaning to do for ages!

Oh my goodness, we could be related! Your tidy up project sounds exactly like the kind of thing I would do. It gets really bad before it gets better. Looks like you are mastering the light box and the card is. As usual, Fabness. X
