Sketch Saturday #223

It's Saturday which means another fab sketch from
This week our sketch has been designed by our very own, one and only, Jen and I rotated some of the elements and played with the order of the layers a little in order to make the card I needed.
The Ribbon Girl is our wonderful sponsor.
And it seemed only right that I should use some beautiful ribbons on my card this week .
One of our special friends in Crete gave us two lanterns (some wine and some wonderful Greek biscuits) as a house warming present for our new Greek apartment when we last visited and this is my thank you card.  Don't worry all of you Tilda fans; the door to the lantern isn't fully closed in this photo or it would have caught Tilda's fingers!
Here is Jen's fab sketch we would like you to use this week.  I rotated it 90 degrees to the left so that the wide horizontal stripe was vertical and used this wonderful Marianne Die Lantern to replace the strip.  I then rotated the star and sentiment 180 degrees, replacing the star with flowers over some ribbon.  Another ribbon adorns the top of my lantern and I used three more Marianne Dies for my leaves with a mix of flowers.
You can see the circular element a little more clearly when the lantern door is opened and I added flowers to the left side for balance.  Tilda has been coloured with Copics and my papers are a brand new Prima stack called Meadow Lark.  I rotated the sketch like this.
There are some beautiful cards for inspiration over at Sketch Saturday and we would love you to come and play along with us this week!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Paper Play 35 wants to see a card of "appreciation or thank you" - very much the theme of this card
Marianne's Design want to see a card with a "summer" feel and I think my card fits the bill; and
Simon Says has an "Anything Goes" theme this week

having Tilda behind that little door was a great idea Lesley. Her stance is perfect for peeping out of it. :-) Wonderful card! Hugs!
