Colour Create

This is why I know that Julie is my best matey.  We are clearly kindred spirits in some way but you will have to read on to see why I write that.
Hubby and I went to dinner at the weekend with our dear friends, the Cuffs, and I made them this little thank you card on Tuesday.  We have friends with whom we dine who make a really nice meal but the evening is more about the company.  The Cuffs, however, pull out all the stops.  The dining experience is more akin to what one might receive in a top class London restaurant AND the company is perfect too!  We always come away feeling hugely entertained (and very replete!).
So Julie is on the DT over at Colour Create and this week she set the challenge which is a lovely photo inspiration and particularly the colours "Ivory and Duck Egg blue and one other colour from the photo"  Shabby Chic is an added theme but not a requirement.    I had absolutely no idea that Julie was setting the challenge, I hadn't seen the photo nor discussed the colours but simultaneously I was making this card with this unshabby but very chic lady. Sorry about the colour cast on the image.  I wanted to send the card and I didn't realise I had taken such a bad picture until after I had mailed it.  With a bit of photoshop fun, I dropped my card into Julie's picture and just look at how well it goes!  It could have been my own staging!  Spooky or what!!!
Papers are DCWV and K&Co.  I can't recall who makes the image and it isn't in its original packaging but she is coloured with Copics. The awning is made using an SU word window punch. The "You're too Kind" sentiment is SU and the little button on the word processed rosette is a K&Co fabric coloured brad.  I wish I had stamped my image onto cream coloured card but the white picks out the flowers in the background and if I made this design again I would flip the writing on the "window" so that it read backwards but it's too late now!!!
