Sweet Stampin with very little success

I was given the huge honour of being on the DT over at Sweet Stampin with a “talent” of crafters (that’s my collective noun for my team members) and every time I need to make a card for our own challenge, I really struggle.

This week the theme is “Clean and Simple”.   I’ve never ever done clean and simple and it’s really, really hard for me. I made three attempts in the end and they are definitely short of what I consider to be my own mark. I’m not convinced they are “clean” enough and whereas they look quite “simple” – the first two weren’t simple for me!

My first card uses a Fiskers sentiment, SU bird punch and DCWV Linen Closet papers.   I word processed the sentiment for the second one which contains SU cardstock, an MS leaf punch (which comes with a stamp for the veins of the leaf) and a Hobby Art Ivy stamp, coloured with Copics. There is a little drop of glaze on the leaf for the dew.  The third one was easier so I guess I just need to practice. I used some new K&Co papers, a cute little PB kitty which has been lightly coloured with Copics, another Fiskars sentiment and some LLB lace.    Please do pop over to Sweet Stampin where you will find some lovely examples and please do join in with the challenge this week!

Hi Lesley - these are gorgeous - just love them. I do know what you mean though - I cannot do CAS - just find it so difficult not to keep adding the odd flower or whatever!

Hi Lesley,

They are all very very beautiful cards! My favourite is the first one, the colour of the card is simply soothing :) Also love the kitty one, I guess lots of white space used make it really clean and simple!

Just wanna say thanks for dropping by my blog today! :)
